When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted.

Who is moving? Who is worried? When will the beautiful Downtown Cumberland mall that we all know and love be brought back to life?
"Certainly, the most challenged above anyone have been the downtown businesses on Baltimore, Liberty and Centre Streets. These businesses have bore the brunt of the project and yet they have risen to the occasion. We believe strongly they will receive many rewards for sticking it out and keeping the end result in their view. If they can stay positive during this trying time and continue to open their businesses to serve us, then I feel strongly we owe it to them and our community to patronize them, support them and lift them up."
Executive Director of the Downtown Development Commission for Cumberland, Melinda Kelleher offers a timeline and some hope for the very near future in our March 2024 printed edition.
In our cover story written by Melinda exclusively for Allegany Magazine, she offers the latest on construction and how long it is likely to last.
"In 2023 – during construction - we had eleven new businesses open downtown. Clearly, these entrepreneurs saw the benefit of opening their businesses in what will be a completely revitalized area with new water and sewer lines, upgraded power, new 5G fiber, a beautiful landscaping plan, and a walkable downtown with gathering spaces, wide sidewalks and public art."
"The downtown areas of small towns are truly the backbone of the communities. A thriving downtown attracts visitors and local citizens, inspires additional investment, and provides a livelihood for many of our neighbors. I hope everyone in the Cumberland community will continue to support our downtown small businesses during these last months of construction."
Read the entire story, stay up to date and informed on the project, and see all the full color artist renderings of what the "reimagined" downtown will look from Cochran Studios in our March issue.
Available everywhere now -- including many retail partners in Downtown Cumberland. As this project nears the finish line, they need us to give them a little extra support right now.
